Jan Eggum released "Myrsnipa" on the album "Hjerteknuser", which was released in 2007. The text is a variant of the folk tale with the moral "everyone likes their own children best and has for many years been one of Eggum's regular encores at concerts.The arrangement is attempted to stay true to Eggum's version and has retained its somewhat delicate character in order to support the text as much as possible. Although the arrangement is written for vocal soloist, it also works great with a solo instrument instead, and you can also choose whether you want a guitar or not, to keep it even more true to the original recording.The arrangement requires good balance and intonation, but will be a nice part of the concert repertoire the audience is guaranteed to recognize.

David Raksin was active in the music business for so many decades that he was thought by many to be the Grandfather of film music. Raksin created notable scores for films such as Forever Amber and The Bad and the Beautiful, though he is best known for the soundtrack to Laura, where the lead character is always represented by the same theme, an "idee fixe". He was a musical prodigy - at the age of four he began receiving lessons from his father Leopold and at the age of six he was composing smart minuets and other short pieces. The composition Charming Salzburg is based on a theme from Mozart's opera Die Zauberflote, which he completed in 1791. The greatest composer of his day - the greatest of all time according to some - the brilliant Mozart wrote some of the world's best operas with Die Zauberflote was his last.
