Chick Corea is an American pianist and composer of Sicilian and Spanish descent, whose long career in jazz music continues to this day. A member of Miles Davis's band in the 1960s, he formed his own band Return to Forever in the 1970s before establishing himself as one of the greats of modern jazz.La Fiesta was composed in 1972 and included on Return to Forever's debut album. The music is in one-in-a-bar waltz time and switches between Latin carnival-style and jazz waltz, with stand-up solos for cornet, baritone and tenor horn. Fairfield Fanfare (expanded version) by Roxanna Panufnik is a 4-minute work for youth and mixed choirs, brass band and orchestra. Originally commissioned to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Fairfield Halls, Croydon in 2012, the opening chords are based on all the alphabetic note names from FA-ir-F(#)-i-E-l-D, heralding a flourishing section of hustle and bustle that is the city of Croydon today.This expanded version includes brass band and choirs, with a setting of the text from Psalm 127. The expanded version was commissioned by the London Mozart Players, who premiered the piece on 30 June 2016 at Fairfield Halls, Croydon.This edition is the full score in C (EP 72880). It is available for sale as part of the Peters Contemporary Library. The performance material can be hired as well as a transposed full score, if preferred.

Eres Tu - J.C.Calderon Lopez de Arroyabe - John Blanken
In 1973 Juan Carlo Calderon wrote Eres Tu for the Spanish Basque pop group Mocedades. The song was placed second in that years Eurovision Song Contest and is one of only five Spanish language songs to get into the US top ten. Subsequently the song was translated into 15 different languages including an English version entitled Touch the Wind.
