Finale from In League with Extraordinary GentlemenThe Great Race, for solo euphonium and band, follows Phileas Fogg on the last stage of his epic journey "Around the World in Eighty Days" (from the novel by Jules Verne). The moto perpetuo nature of the music gives full rein to the soloist's technical virtuosity. As the work draws to a conclusion, the frantic scramble by Fogg to meet his deadline at the Reform Club in Pall Mall, London, is echoed by the soloist's increasingly demanding ascending figuration, set against the background of Big Ben clock chimes.

Theme from JAG (Brass Band - Score and Parts)
The television series JAG (Judge Advocate General), which was first broadcast in America in 1995, has become internationally known over the years. In Europe, too, people have become acquainted with the legal wing of navy officers and the intrigues surrounding Commander Harmon "Harm" Rabb (David James Elliott) and his partner Lieutenant Colonel Sarah "Mac" MacKenzie (Catherine Bell). Both inside and outside the courtroom they fight with one major aim: winning! In their personal relationships, there's a good deal of tension too. Formed around a musical interpretation of the title, the motifs employed are derived from melodies and counterpoint that, with development, join into unisons but then separate. The music, which in places is reminiscent of the film music of Bernard Hermann, often takes the separating lines and transforms them into dramatic, often grotesque new material. Throughout, however, the original motif continues to make its presence felt, finally resolving into a massive unison scored for full band as the concluding note.
