When Time Will Be No More - James Curnow
This work was commissioned in memory of Peter J. Swanson, a trumpet and cornet player who tragically died at the tender age of fourteen. Peter's favorite gospel song, Just a Closer Walk with Thee, has been used as the basis for this piece of contrasts which takes the listener through many styles and moods. The spiritual character of the original song resounds gloriously in When Time Will Be No More.

£44.50The Covid Collection - Gavin Somerset
This exciting new 22-minute concert suite for Brass Sextet has been composed during the months of lockdown charting the feelings of a nation, with seven movements playable by 6 (or more) players. The music was composed with the intention for players to perform either together live in a small group, in isolation by way of a virtual performance (downloadable backing tracks are available to play along to) and ultimately, to give players something to enjoy as we all miss our brass band families. This concert suite is the perfect addition to all bands' libraries at a time when rehearsals are limited. With catchy melodies and harmonies, it is an effective opening to any concert programme and the perfect way to begin the Suite. However, during these times, walks out with loved ones allowed many to connect and enjoy downtime, not often afforded to many. A laid back swing number that should be played in an as relaxed manner, as possible!Movement 5: Hymn for Carers (Dedicated to the NHS & Care Workers) - CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD PLAYBACK TRACK Dedicated to the NHS & Care Workers, this hymn tune is filled with emotional highs and lows, felt by many of the hospital and care staff who worked tirelessly to keep our people safe, with a timely nod at the end to Vera Lynn & our missed VE day commemorations. This festive number sees an original theme from the pen of Gavin Somerset interspersed with festive favourites that seem to appear in an unfamiliar manner. There is plenty of Christmas spirit to be found in this work and will see your percussion section taking the limelight. Whilst they're not essential, it does add some entertainment value to the piece. As the little drummer boy rises over the hill, your audience will be left with smiling throughout the music in a work that really does add fantastic entertainment value to any Christmas concert.

Keep the Rhythm Going was written for Abingdon Concert Band during the 2020 Coronavirus pandemic as a tribute to musicians around the world who found ways to play together virtually in order to 'keep the rhythm going'. This exciting piece will be a great opener for any concert or contest programme and is available for both brass band and wind band. When performing the wind band arrangement the Cor Anglais, Eb Clarinet and Alto Clarinet parts are optional and can be omitted without affecting the music. £25.50Coconut Dance - Traditional - Andi Cook
The Rochdale coconut dance is a traditional Morris dance, often used by the dancers who accompany the rush-cart during the Rochdale rushbearing festival. It probably dates from the 1850s, and though the dancers were said to have half a coconut shell on each knee and in each hand, the term 'coconut' is also used as local slang for the wooden end of a wool bobbin, so nobody can be sure if they were always real coconuts. Written for the Milnrow band's 150th birthday celebrations (1869-2019) this arrangement uses a combination of Caribbean rhythms and a disco groove for a modern take on an old favourite that's impossible to sit still to. Enormously catchy, great fun to play and with something for everyone to enjoy, your audiences will be whistling this one all the way home.

Hey Presto! - Gerry McColl
This new gem of a solo for Euphonium is a rousing piece from start to finish. Starting with heavy syncopation from the band before the soloist can show off with this catchy little tune that you will be whistling for days (if you can whistle that fast!) The middle section then breaks into a beautiful legato tune for the soloist up in the top register, whilst the rest of the band keep on ploughing away underneath. The original tune then returns after a modulation and finishing with the soloist showing off their chromatic runs in the last couple of bars. This is one of the best new entertaining solos around.

In The Steppes Of Central Asia - Borodin - Geoff Colmer
This wonderful work has been very skillfully arranged for Brass Band. Some very controlled playing will be required so perform this stunning work that is dedicated to Franz Liszt, containing a simply gorgeous melody that runs throughout the piece. A welcome addition to any bands library.
