This simple, hauntingmelody begins on a brass quartet without cornets. The full band joins for the second part, which rises to a richly textured climax before receding to a quiet, reflective close.

Deep Harmony - Handel Parker - Alan Beaumont
Composed in 1854 By Handel Parker, this tune has become a favorite within the Brass Band world. Many have said that no other ensemble can perform a hymn tune quite like a Brass Band. This special arrangement of the well-known hymn tune was crafted by arranger Andi Cook for his recent wedding, to be played by an all-star group of players made up of instrumentalists from Grimethorpe, Black Dyke, Hepworth, Faireys & EYMS. Whilst originally scored for a congregation to sing along to, with optional organ part (included in this publication), Andi had in mind that no one really likes to sing at weddings, and so the final verse was written to wow the congregation and show his wife's family the awe-inspiring sound a brass band can generate. Since then, this arrangement has been used several times and has found favor with adjudicators, winning best hymn tune at the Morley Contest and the Brighouse Contest this year. The work is a perfect addition to any bands repertoire, working perfectly in all manners of occasions.

So Amazing - Traditional - Jonathan Mead
'So Amazing', is a beautiful new hymn tune arrangement from the pen of Welsh Composer Jonathan Mead. The music would create a lovely moment in a concert, where the audience would have time for reflection. The title comes from the words that are often associated with this tune, 'Love so amazing, so divine,'. The tune used, is also well known in the brass band world as, 'The Water is wide'. This exciting new 22-minute concert suite for Brass Sextet has been composed during the months of lockdown charting the feelings of a nation, with seven movements playable by 6 (or more) players. The music was composed with the intention for players to perform either together live in a small group, in isolation by way of a virtual performance (downloadable backing tracks are available to play along to) and ultimately, to give players something to enjoy as we all miss our brass band families. This concert suite is the perfect addition to all bands' libraries at a time when rehearsals are limited. A laid back swing number that should be played in an as relaxed manner, as possible!Movement 5: Hymn for Carers (Dedicated to the NHS & Care Workers) - CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD PLAYBACK TRACK Dedicated to the NHS & Care Workers, this hymn tune is filled with emotional highs and lows, felt by many of the hospital and care staff who worked tirelessly to keep our people safe, with a timely nod at the end to Vera Lynn & our missed VE day commemorations. Movement 6: Army of the Keyworkers - CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD PLAYBACK TRACK A stirring work in 12/8 which rightfully, depicts our heroes who kept the country moving through the most difficult of times.
