Composed in 1888 during his tenure as director of the United States Marine Band, John Philip Sousa's Semper Fidelis was dedicated to the U.S. Marine Corps and has since been adopted as its official march. The title - Latin for "Always Faithful" - reflects the enduring values and proud traditions of the Corps. This brass band arrangement by Dr. Keith M. Wilkinson was prepared for the 2008 summer concerts of the Brass Band of the Western Reserve. It features optional movement around the stage and an engaging percussion spotlight, both of which add a visual flair to complement the music's patriotic energy and precision.
