£24.95Abide With Me (Trombone Solo with Brass Band - Score and Parts)
The very evocative tune to this hymn is called 'Eventide' and was written by William Henry Monk. He was an important figure in 19th century English church music and became organist and choirmaster at a variety of London churches in the course of his lifetime. In 1857, he was appointed the first editor of Hymns, Ancient and Modern, a publication that would eventually sell sixty million copies! It was for this hymnbook that he wrote the tune 'Eventide' to the words, 'Abide with Me' by Henry Francis Lyte. This version, for trombone solo and brass band, was commissioned by Brett Baker.

£33.62La Chica sin nombre (Trombone Solo with Brass Band) Rob Wiffin
A vibrant, rhythmic solo for trombone and band. La Chica sin Nombre was written in March 2020 at the request of Brett Baker, who wanted something in Latin style, resulting in a Mambo-type dance piece. For the right percussion sound, Conga drums and Mambo Bell/Timbales are recommended rather than a drum kit, and the piece should be played with an appropriate feel for Latin music. It should sound light and easy to play but has a few tricky moments - especially the cadenza-like sections from F to H. The virtuosic section at letter G can be cut if required. Audio demo: https://soundcloud.com/user-565396545/la-chica-sin-nombre-trombone Duration: Approx. 4.20 minutes Difficulty Level (Band): Medium Soloist: Advanced This PDF download includes the full score and parts. £24.95Tom Bowling - Trombone Solo (Brass Band - Score and Parts)
This wonderful song is invariably featured in the last night of the BBC Promenade Concert series as it is included in Henry Wood's Fantasia on British Sea Songs. It is played as a cello solo and always provides one of the most sensitive, melancholic moments of the evening. It the trombone soloist rises to the challenge, there will not be a dry eye in the concert hall!

£33.62Heroic Etude (Trombone Solo with Brass Band) Rob Wiffin
Inspired by the well-known trombone works of Alexandre Guilmant and Ferdinand David, this piece returns to that style of writing in a short concert etude. The music is direct in its expression, mostly exciting but sometimes lyrical. The relentless pace requires some deft double-tonguing, though runs of semi-quavers (16th notes) are kept to a minimum. Audio demo: https://soundcloud.com/user-565396545/heroic-etude-trombone-solo Duration: Approx. 3.40 minutes Difficulty Level (Band): Medium Soloist: Advanced This PDF download includes the full score and parts. In this one we hear music describing harsh winter winds and icy snows, enough to make teeth chatter, in the first movement, a cosy scene by the fireside watching the falling rain (second movement) and the harsh winds, ice and snow return in movement 3.This arrangement was prepared at the request of Brett Baker and has been recorded by him accompanied by Brass Band Of The Western Reserve, musical director Dr Keith M Wilkinson, on the CD Slides Rule!

£24.00O Mio Babbino Caro (Trombone Solo with Brass Band - Score and Parts)
This famous aria is from the opera Gianni Schicchi. Lauretta, daughter of Gianni Schicchi, has fallen in love with Rinuccio but there are huge tensions between their two families which threaten to keep the young couple apart. The rather discordant music which opens portrays these tensions before giving way to Lauretta's tender appeal to her father to allow her to marry the man she loves. This arrangement was prepared at the request of Brett Baker to be performed with Brass Band Of The Western Reserve, musical director Dr Keith M Wilkinson, during his visit in May, 2011.
