Kinderwalzer - Len Jenkins - Len Jenkins
The title originally began as 'kind of a waltz', but the music, in typical bier-keller fast-waltz style, progresses to be more representative of a children's nursery with fun and laughter all the way. That is, until the grotesque element appears and makes you wonder what it was that you glimpsed at the back of the wardrobe? Fortunately, all is resolved before bedtime and jollity returns. Bad Moon Rising - John Fogerty - Len Jenkins
"Bad Moon Rising" is a song written by John Fogerty and performed by Creedence Clearwater Revival. It was the lead single from their album Green River and was released in April 1969, four months before the album. It reached No. 1 on the UK Singles Chart for three weeks in September 1969 and has been recorded by at least 20 different artists, in styles ranging from folk to reggae to psychedelic rock. The last line of the chorus, "there's a bad moon on the rise", is sometimes misheard as "there's a bathroom on the right" and Fogerty occasionally sings the misheard lyric in concert. The song has become notably popular in Argentina as a football chant and in the 2014 FIFA World Cup, a modified version, titled "Brasil, decime que se siente" ("Brazil, Tell Me How It Feels") was sung with Spanish lyrics that taunted Brazil, their traditional rival. It went viral and became very popular (in Argentina).

For centuries hilltop beacon fires blazed across the land signals of important happenings or warnings of invasion. This music tells no specific story but the titles of the four thematically related sections are a guide to the idea: The Beacons; Far Horizons; The Invaders; Celebration. The first movement has something of the character of the march and the fanfare; spirited and tightly driving, it promises most of the thematic material of the work. The second is largelt tranquil and is thinly scores with solo passages. The third has the most dramatic potential; its energy and conflict subsides to a lament and a tolling bell before a vigorous rounding off. Appropriately, the fourth movement is in a merry-making mood, and the jubilant music concludes with fragment statements of the main themes. The Beacons was first performed by IMI Yorkshire Imperial Band (James Scott) at the 'Concert of the Century', celebrating the Centenary of the British Bandsman, at the Free Trade Hall, Manchester, on 5 September 1987. There are four movements: 'Towers and Chimneys' which is both heraldic and mysterious; 'Churches: Lord of the Dance' is an arrangement of the famous shaker melody made popular in Martin Shaw's hymn of Jesus' life and history; 'Pastorale: Sunday Afternoon recalls those long and languorous days before television, and 'Coronation Day Parade' - a community celebration with a brass band at its centre.
