Sunday People is the title track from the debut album with the same name from the group The Monroes. The LP was released in 1983 and the Sunday People immediately became a huge hit. The Monroes was the first artists in Norway to receive the NorwegianYear Grammy Spellemannsprisen.Members of The Monroes was guitarist Eivind Rolles and singer Lage Fossheim. Both of them passed away in 2013, only 54 and 55 years old. The music lives on and many dearly remembers the track Cheerio (1985) inheavily reworked version from 2005 when Rolles and Fossheim collaborated with Ravi and DJ Lov.

Few melodies possess the haunting beauty and instant recognizability of The Lonely Shepherd. Originally composed by legendary bandleader James Last for a solo project titled Filmmusik Ohne Filme (Film Music Without Films), the track eventually found its home on the 1977 album Memories of Russia. It was this recording that catapulted pan flutist Gheorghe Zamfir to international superstardom, reaching the Top 25 on the German charts and becoming a permanent fixture in the global musical lexicon. While the original album title suggested "films without movies," the track didn't stay "homeless" for long. Its evocative, melancholic atmosphere has made it a favorite for directors across decades and continents. This brass band arrangement preserves the ethereal quality of the original, the soaring melodic lines and rhythmic intensity of the finale offering a brilliant showcase of phrasing and emotional depth. £39.95Panic on Pudding Lane - Jonathan Bates
DURATION: 5 minutes. DIFFICULTY: Championship. Panic on Pudding Lane was composed for the 2016 RNCM Festival of Brass, for the Black Dyke Band and Prof. Nicholas Childs. The work was composed to mark the 350th anniversary of the Great Fire of London in 1666. Following the frantic panicking, and hustle and bustle of the emergency service vehicles, a moment of reflection and tranquility is found in the core of the work, with a feature for Soprano Cornet and Flugelhorn in a section that almost pleads and mourns over the damage and devastation which surrounds them, as they stand amongst the burning rubble and debris (enhanced by a CD sound effect backing track). Whilst this section proves to be the calming point of the piece, the chaos and destruction is still never far from the ear, with distant echoes of sirens in the background towards the section's close. . Panic once again returns as the piece builds to a chaotic and driving close, with a huge sweeping recapitulation of the 'London's Burning' motif taking the lead before a wild,dischordant and frenzied finale brings the work to it's end. .

The Beatles were at the height of their popularity when this zany cartoon was released in the 60s. The cartoon has become a collectors item now and the music doesn't sound at all dated. Yellow Submarine was the title track and featured their less talented drummer, Ringo Starr.Alan Catherall's fun arrangement was originally a concept piece arranged for the Liverpool Phil. Whilst currently holding the record for the most expensive movie made at the time of release, reviews of the film were mixed and many thought it not as good as its two predecessors. Hans Zimmer's music for this third film pulled on the main themes used in the previous two movies with some added material. This arrangement incorporates the new themes from the film, not previously released for band and features the stunning track 'Up Is Down'. In 1964, the pilot to the new American sitcom 'Bewitched' was completed. The original screening used Frank Sinatra's 'Witchcraft' as the music for the opening titles, however, the production company did not want to pay the large fee to use this track and so, Greenfield & Keller were asked to compose an alternative. The foot-tapping swing piece they produced was reduced to an instrumental version with a light orchestra for the opening credits. However, the song has now been recorded several times. The most famous recording by Steve Lawrence was also featured in the film 'Bewitched' released in 2005. Since then, it has also appeared on the X-Factor a number of times. This fantastic swing item now comes arranged for brass band with the option of playing it at the Steve Lawrence song tempo, or the fast, big band instrumental tempo used in the TV Series. An optional, lower pitched part is also included between letters E-F for the cornet section & flugel to make the item more accessible to lower section bands. This item is a great swing number that audiences of all ages will recognize, a great piece for your new program & a must for every band looking to inject some life into their concerts.

Schwarz composed an opening fanfare for the beginning, which can also be played as a short 'teaser' at festive events. A motif is treated through various rhythms and time signatures and leads to an epic finale, splendidly brought to life by the glorious timbres of the brass.
