The Victory Club - Gavin Somerset

Composed for the Stocksbridge Brass Band of Sheffield, this fast lively concert March gets its name from the club that the band rehearsed in. Written for the opening of the band's concerts at the "Victory Club" which was also home to the Stocksbridge Band Club (now, the City of Sheffield Band Club), where the weekly concerts have grown more and more in popularity.

The Wellerman - Traditional - Gavin Somerset

This traditional Whaling song went viral around the world on social media platform TikTok during the Covid-19 lockdown in early 2021. Starting with a lone voice, more and more singers & instrumentalists began adding their harmonies and improvisations to the melody until, there were literally hundreds of people all working together to create a global voice, including some big name celebrities. This release allows your band to recreate the viral hit and when back on stage, add your own choreography and optional singing with this shanty that has found a new appreciation amongst younger audiences and reflects the hard times many faced during the covid lockdown. Theme from Tetris - Traditional - Martyn C Adams

Tetris is without doubt, one of the bestselling games worldwide since its global release in the mid-1980s. Challenging the player to organise a series of falling blocks, the theme tune based on the Russia traditional song, Korobeiniki, in its electronic format, became synonymous with the hand held game. This work has now been scored in an exciting arrangement for brass band which builds and builds to an exciting finale. The music features all sections of the band and bridges the generations, working well as a fantastic finale showstopper.

Three Lions - Baddiel & Skinner - Gavin Somerset

With the Qatar World Cup just around the corner, the England football team's biggest ever anthem is now available and published officially for Brass Band. With lyrics written by comedians David Baddiel and Frank Skinner, the music was composed by the rock band the Lightning Seeds. It was originally released back in 1996 to mark 'Euro 96' which was hosted in England. This iconic theme is the perfect addition to any programme during a major football competition and is instantly recognisable as one of the most popular pieces of all time. A must for every band's library.

Three Little Maids - Arthur Sullivan - Bill Willis

The well-known aria from Gilbert & Sullivan's ninth operatic collaboration together, Mikado, is now available for band as a jolly, light-hearted cornet trio. Most people will instantly recognise the opening stanza as performed by the cornet trio, but the work holds much more. With some great detail in the inner band parts, this arrangement ensures that the work is not only a great piece for the players, but one that the audiences will love and soloists can enjoy. A must for all band's libraries.

The title "To Set The World Aglow" is a line taken from the core inspiration of the piece, the Carol 'Sweet Chiming Christmas Bells', to which the words to While Shepherds Watched are traditionally sung. With that as the inspiration, other bell-related carols are overlaid and interwoven to give a bright and jubilant setting that stands apart from a traditional Carol selection, providing an ideal Christmas concert opener full of surprises and great harmonies. Arranged by David Holling, the song was performed by Fred Astaire in the 1935 film "Top Hat". This piece has just about everything you could want from an opening item. All performers love a showpiece, and if there isn't one available, they write their own. American born Louis Moreau Gottschalk was a child prodigy and became famous for writing and performing his own piano compositions. Now it's the turn of your band to show off to the crowds with a performance of the 'Tournament Gallop'. Arranged by Adam Rutter, the piece is largely marked 'Presto', though in reality, the idea was that Gottschalk would perform the work as fast as humanly possible! An entertainment special and one audiences will love.

Its happened to most bands, in the middle of a quiet moment in the music, an audience member's mobile phone rings (or worse, a band members!!!). Now, all can be forgiven in the fantastic "tongue-in-cheek" piece of music. Based around the music of Johann Strauss, this lively arrangement pokes fun at the Grand Waltz (Nokia's preferred ring tone!), as well as some of the other often heard ring tones (William Tell etc). Fantastic entertainment value, working well in just about any concert.
