Rolf Wallin's beautiful, yet simple? Elegy? was orignally written for trumpet and piano. It was composed for the funeral of the composer's sister, Erna. This arrangement for trumpet/cornet with brass band accompaniment retains the simplicity of the original piano writing, but uses soft brass textures throughout.
