The most popular movement from Mozart's Clarinet Concerto in A is now available as a beautiful solo for Euphonium (with an optional Tenor Horn soloist part also included). The work was originally composed for Anton Stadler and composed in 1791. This arrangement tests the range of the soloist with some large intervals to contend with during the lyrical melodies, utilising the full range of the instrument. The tender accompaniments also require the band to be sympathetic to the soloist as band show off the controlled nature of their playing.

COMPOSER: W. WalkerARRANGER: Paul Pennicotte-Henrie"Amazing Grace" is a Christian hymn published in 1779 by English Anglican clergyman, abolitionist, and poet John Newton. It is possibly the most sung and most recorded hymn in the world and is especially popular in the United States, where it is used for both religious and secular purposes. Newton wrote the words from personal experience; he grew up without any particular religious conviction, but his life's path was formed by a variety of twists and coincidences that were often put into motion by others' reactions to what they took as his recalcitrant insubordination. He was pressed into service with the Royal Navy, and after leaving the service, he became involved in the Atlantic slave trade.In 1748, a violent storm battered his vessel off the coast of County Donegal, Ireland, so severely that he called out to God for mercy. While this moment marked his spiritual conversion, he continued slave trading until 1754 or 1755, when he ended his seafaring altogether. Newton began studying Christian theology and later became an abolitionist.Ordained in the Church of England in 1764, Newton became the curate of Olney, Buckinghamshire, where he began to write hymns with poet William Cowper. "Amazing Grace" was written to illustrate a sermon on New Year's Day of 1773. It is unknown if there was any music accompanying the verses; it may have been chanted by the congregation. It debuted in print in 1779 in Newton's and Cowper's Olney Hymns, but settled into relative obscurity in England. In the United States, "Amazing Grace" became a popular song used by Baptist and Methodist preachers as part of their evangelizing, especially in the American South, during the Second Great Awakening of the early 19th century. It has been associated with more than 20 melodies. In 1835, American composer William Walker set it to the tune known as "New Britain" in a shape note format; this is the version most frequently sung today.

St Julien is a town near the French/Belgian border which witnessed several battles during WW1. The composer Arthur W. Hughes (1870-1950) was born in Kingston, Ontario, and left home when he was quite young to perform with circus bands in US. He wrote several marches and a few other compositions but this one, dating from 1918, is the most well-known. The march also works as a fast circus march. Here it has been expertly arranged for brass band by Dr. Keith M. Wilkinson. Based on a poem by Gustaf Froding, King Lily of the Valley is a poetic and regal musical tribute to the delicate flower that, in Froding's verse, appears as a young king surrounded by both sorrow and beauty. Originally composed by David Wikander and arranged for male choir (TTBB) by Rasmus Krigstrom, this evocative work has been masterfully reimagined for brass band by Norwegian arranger and composer Espen Wallacher Haukas and created for Bjorsvik Brass's performance at Siddis Brass 2025. The brass band version retains the choral character and emotional depth of the original, weaving lush harmonies and lyrical phrasing into a rich soundscape. A deeply expressive addition to any brass band repertoire - blending Nordic choral tradition with the grandeur and warmth of the brass band sound. The King of Love My Shepherd Is (Bra) - Irish Traditional
Lovely arrangement of this traditional Irish hymn with a lovely text by Henry W. Baxter. The text paraphrases Psalm 23. It has found recent fame at as result being sung at the funeral of Diana Princess of Wales in 1997. Dedicated to the transcribers mothers in law and grandfather in law whom both passed away during a 4 week period in the summer of 2013. I, Mike Kilmartin, found by writing this piece it has helped me to come terms with what has happened to my family. My hope is that for anyone whom has lost someone can get the same comfort from this piece as I do.
