There's a haunting melody that has hung around in the deep recesses of my mind for years, which always resurfaces around Easter. Especially living in Devon, with views of Dartmoor all around, with numerous sheep parading their tiny lambs. All In The April Evening was transcribed for band masterfully by Eric Ball - but here is a more updated version for your Easter and Spring concerts.The composer, Hugh Robertson, the founder and conductor of the Glasgow Orpheus Choir, wrote this choral work in 1911, which featured heavily in their repertoire.

Whilst currently holding the record for the most expensive movie made at the time of release, reviews of the film were mixed and many thought it not as good as its two predecessors. Hans Zimmer's music for this third film pulled on the main themes used in the previous two movies with some added material. From the fourth installation of the Harry Potter series comes 'Harry Potter & The Goblet of Fire'. This was the first of the Harry Potter films not to be scored by John Williams. Music from the animated Disney film "Hercules" is based upon the Greek mythology (albeit, slightly altered to be suitable for children!) telling the story of Hercules. This piece is sung by Meg as she realizes she is falling in love with him. The music for the film by composer Alan Menken was nominated for an Academy award, however sadly, was released at the same time at "Titanic" where James Horner's score won instead. Now arranged by Richard Rock as a grand feature for your bands horn section, pleasing to play and to listen too.

This work was originally written for a Junior Brass Band with the title Suite for Saturday and was road-tested at a Band Day organized by West Sussex Music Service.
