For a Flower is a very melodic and virtuosic solo work for euphonium and brass band. It opens with a gentle solo introduction on euphonium, which develops into a grand hymnal theme. Following this comes a faster and more virtuosic section in a traditional Irish style, with a varied dialogue between the band and the soloist. The work closes triumphantly with the hymnal theme of the opening. For a Flower showcases both the musical and technical capabilities of this wonderful instrument. The euphonium soloist must naturally master both skills: lyrical playing and virtuoso playing. For a Flower was commissioned by the Dutch euphonium virtuoso Robbert Vosand is dedicated to his wife, Evi.

Bert Appermont dug deep into Celtic music for inspiration and created a fantasy that shows off the incredible, but often overlooked, versatility of the Euphonium. The piece takes its inspiration from the happy and sad masks that symbolise the Commedia dell'Arte (which features Harlequin as one of its main characters) and comprises of two movements, a slow modal ballad followed by a frenetic faster movement. A fantastic showpiece for the Euphonium and Brass Band.

Life (Bra) - Stijn Aertgeerts
'Life' was written in 2019 for euphonium virtuoso Glenn Van Looy, for a performance at the 'Academie de cuivres et percussion de Larmor-Plage' with an occasional brass ensemble conducted by Florent Didier. Afterwards, the work had disappeared below the radar, until Lorenz Havermans and Bert Van Thienen asked composer Stijn Aertgeerts to make a new version for fanfare band, especially for Koninklijke De Berthoutzonen Hallaar to perform at the World Music Contest 2022 in Kerkrade (NL).

VirtEuphonity (Bra) - Jan De Maeseneer
VirtEuphonity is a virtuoso and funky solo work for euphonium and band (or piano & drums). The work is written for Kevin Van Giel (euphonium at the Belgian Royal Air Force Band) and consists of three parts. The first is an atmospheric opener that taps the technical skills of the euphonium player with his many notes, double tones and jumps over the registers. The second part is a ballad and the third part you get a funky solo with Oriental influences to end again with the opening theme.
