Ghosts are whispering, yelling, screaming... Fortunately it is almost one oclock, so we can leave this creepy place quickly.Part 3: The Swinging Galleon [with illustrations]What a huge pirate ship! All together in the train, the over-the-shoulder restraints are lowering... be ready to ride. The train leaves the station and is heading for the big lift hill. It will be very scary when the train reaches the top and the train will be plunged down the first drop! Loops, corkscrews and other spectacular coaster elements will follow... Before you know it, the ride of your life is over. Shall we ride it again?!Part 7: Leaving the Park [with animation]Unfortunately everything comes to an end. This day in the theme park is over, but we have a lot new experiences to talk about! The memories of all the funny and spectacular rides will come up when we walk through the park to the exit. Gymnopedie No 1 | Satie arr. Leigh Sharpe

The Gymnopedies by Erik Satie are three piano compositions of extraordinary beauty. Gentle, eccentric pieces which defied the classical tradition. The name Gymnopedie is thought to be a reference to Satie's joke at a party when, concerned by his lack of formal qualifications, on being asked his profession, he replied Gymnopaedist ??" which means ??" 'naked athlete'.

    Windjammer | Kevin Bell

This energetic piece inspired by the beauty and majesty of the sea and the great tall ships is an ideal second half opener for any concert.Windjammer begins with a pounding shuffle pattern on toms tom's in 12/8 time, this is taken up by accented lower brass played over by a forceful fanfare like melody.Feel the thrill and power of a majestic sailing ship as sails are hoisted and trimmed to 'jam' the exhilarating power of the wind.Various cross themes develop as the pace and feel changes, slowing into a melodic straight 4/4 time as the ship gently yields to the wind and glides gracefully through the water. Themes are passed through the band and the music swells into full band sections. This slower section then returns to the original 12/8 driving opening riff of the piece uncovering various short themes before building to a triple forte punchy ending.InstrumentationSoprano, Solo, Repiano, 2nd and 3rd CornetsFlugelhornSolo, 1st and 2nd Tenor Horns1st and 2nd Baritone1st, 2nd and Bass TromboneEuphoniumEb and Bb BassesPercussion parts (4):1: Timpani2: Drum kit3: Xylophone / Glockenspiel4: (Optional) Bass Drum / Tambourine / Tam Tam / Cymbal / Mark TreeISMN: 979-0-708127-05-5

    Ave Maria

Johann Sebastian Bach (1685 - 1750) was a German composer and musician of the Baroque period. Bach's compositions include the Brandenburg Concertos, the Goldberg Variations, the Mass in B minor, two Passions, and over three hundred cantatas of which approximately two hundred survive. His music is revered for its technical command, artistic beauty, and intellectual depth. Bach's abilities as an organist were highly respected during his lifetime, although he was not widely recognised as a great composer until a revival of interest in and performances of his music in the first half of the 19th century. He is now generally regarded as one of the greatest composers of all time.Charles-Francois Gounod (1818 - 1893) was a French composer, best known for his Grand Operas, most famously 'Faust', written in 1859 and his 'St Cecilia Mass' written in 1854. However possibly his most performed work is his arrangement of the latin text Ave Maria based on a work by Bach.

Lament by Frank Bridge (arr. for brass band by Paul Hindmarsh)

English composer Frank Bridge (1879 – 1941) composed Lament on 14 June 1915, in memory of Catherine Crompton, who drowned when the Cunard liner Lusitania was torpedoed by a German submarine on 7 May, 1915 off the coast of Ireland. 1201 men, women and children lost their lives out of the 1962 people aboard. Ninety-four children died, including Catherine, her twin brother Paul and four other siblings. Paul Crompton, Snr. (44), a British businessman working in Philadelphia, his wife Gladys (40) and the family nanny were also drowned. How Bridge’s dedication came about is uncertain. One contemporary source says that Bridge knew the family, but it is also possible that he came across the family photograph which was published in many newspapers in the wake of the sinking. His response to this personal tragedy was characteristically spontaneous and utterly sincere. It is one of his most effective miniatures, poignant yet restrained in its lyrical beauty, with compelling directness and simplicity. This arrangement was made for performance at the 2015 RNCM Festival of Brass where it was beautifully performed by Cory Band under Philip Harper.Duration: 4-5 mins Score and parts ?35, plus postage and packing Score: ?10PHM Catalogue No. PHM010

    Dream Catchers - Paul Lovatt-Cooper

Dream Catchers is written in the style of a youth band test piece with lots of jazz and funk influences. The idea behind the piece is that every young musician has a chance of 'catching' their dreams by performing to as high a standard as they can. In the first and last sections of Dream Catchers, the performers are required to use their technical ability with lots of intricate playing, whereas in the dream-like middle section they play with beauty and style.Dream Catchers was composed for the National Children's Brass Band of Great Britain and first performed by them in August 2007 at the Atrix Centre, Bromsgrove.
