Terminalby Gauthier Dupertuis is an energetic, danceable work that captures the electric atmosphere of an airport terminal from morning to night. Repetitive rhythmic structures - symbolizing the constant hustle and bustle of an airport - form the connection between a majestic introduction and the central section, which explores a sound world tinged with 80s and 90s pop and funk music.The piece was commissioned by the Swiss National Youth Brass Band for the 2025 session of its B ensemble, also marking the Youth Brass Band 50th anniversary.

Mars Attacks - Elfman, D - Phillips, L
Tim Burton weaved his usual brand of zaniness throughout this film and his regular composer, Danny Elfman, created a humorous parody of early B movie sci-fi scores by his use of choir and two theremins - an early synthesizer (optional choir and synth. parts supplied). This arrangement features the music that accompanies the film's horrific opening, a heard of burning cattle stampeding past a shocked family; the scoring here is dissonant and over-the-top with horror value. This is followed by Elfman's quirky Main Title Theme which sees the Martian invasion force enroute to Earth - wicked and fiendish fun ensues.2nd section +

"Walk on By" is an American song written by Burt Bacharach and Hal David. It was written for Dionne Warwick. Her recording was released in April 1964 to great success.It reached a sixth place on the American Billboard Hot 100 list and a first place at Cashbox 'R & B. The song was a short time on Top 10 on the Billboard Easy Listening List. His songs are often epic in character and include By the Time I Get to Phoenix; Up, Up and Away; Didn't We; Wichita Lineman and Galveston. MacArthur Park (1968) was unlike anything that had gone before it. Running at over 7 minutes, it is 2 or 3 times the length of most pop songs and has an extended orchestral interlude. Richard Harris' seminal recording topped the music charts in Europe, while peaking at number two on the U.S. charts. Philip Sparke has made this excellentarrangement for brass band, which is sure to become a regular feature on your concert programme.

Back in the day I always enjoyed playing the well-known trombone works by Alexandre Guilmant and Ferdinand David and I wanted to return to that type of language and writing in a short concert piece. The music is direct in its expression, mostly exciting but sometimes lyrical. The pace of this etude is relentless and requires some deft double tonguing although I stayed away from too many running semiquavers. The last note should ideally be the high D (concert) but a B flat is indicated as a suitable alternative.- Rob WiffinDuration: 3.45

An intricate ensemble section, either side of a tongue-in-cheek 'B' section (where Space Invader images and firing sounds were projected behind Foden's at Brass in Concert) all lead to a powerful and tight finish. Walking in Greendale - Bryan Daly - Len Jenkins
The composer Bryan Daly was responsible for the music in the original Postman Pat series, including its well-known signature tune. Tucked away in only one episode, (not the one about Pat learning to play a tuba), is the delightful piece "Walking in Greendale", which features a jolly tuba part. Bryan kindly gave permission for its arrangement for Tuba and Brass Band, and this was originally played by Graham Cooper in The Woburn Sands 'B' Band at Whaddon Church Fete (one branch of Graham's family comes from Whaddon, in Buckinghamshire). The piece is ideal for fetes, concerts and similar engagements. Sadly, Bryan Daly died in January 2012, but with the agreement of his son, Robert, this revised arrangement is dedicated to his memory.
