The theme tune from one of Britain's iconic comedy shows is in fact, an old tune entitled 'Alice, Where Art Thou' composed by Joseph Ascher, a Dutch composer and pianist. The opening title sequence of the show heard brass arranger, Max Harris performing his own version of the tune, who also composed the incidental music for the show. This light-hearted release coincides with the release of the new Open All Hours series starring David Jason who now runs the corner shop years later. A great easy going summer concert item and one that audience members will truly enjoy.(also playable by training bands)

However, after witnessing the grand spectacle America in Chicago - featuring a dramatic backdrop of a massive painting of the Liberty Bell - Sousa was inspired to rename the piece. Since then, it has become one of his most recognisable and enduring marches. The march gained a whole new audience in the 20th century when it was adopted as the signature tune for the iconic British television show Monty Python's Flying Circus, cementing its place in popular culture. This engaging brass band arrangement by Dr. Keith M. Wilkinson adds a unique touch with the inclusion of several solos for a large unpitched bell, enhancing both the aural and visual experience for performers and audiences alike.
