Titan's Progress (Score & Parts) - Hermann Pallhuber
Commissioned by Austria's leading brass band, Brass Band Oberoesterreich, Titan's Progress is a series of descriptive, virtuoso episodes based on the principal character of the novel by Jean Paul. This was also the original subject of Mahler's Symphony No. 1, from which Hermann Pallhuber derives much of his material. The work has proved an exceptionally popular test piece all over the world. Titan's Progress was the selected test piece for the British Open Brass Band Championship, held at Symphony Hall, Birmingham on Saturday 12th September 2009. Taiko & Geisha (Bra) - Traditional - Fredrick Schjelderup
"Taiko & Geisha" was commissioned by the Norwegian brass band, Kleppe Musikklag, as a part of their contest program: "Around the world", for the entertainment contest, Siddis Brass Festival, in 2012. The piece is in some ways a small "postcard" or a hommage to the sound of different asian music. It includes drum features (quasi Taiko-drumming), solos and great big melodic lines as well as the sound of traditional Koto-harp themes.

"Walk on By" is an American song written by Burt Bacharach and Hal David. It was written for Dionne Warwick. Her recording was released in April 1964 to great success.It reached a sixth place on the American Billboard Hot 100 list and a first place at Cashbox 'R & B. The song was a short time on Top 10 on the Billboard Easy Listening List. Warwick also recorded a German version entitled "Geh vorbei".Like many of Warwicks Bacharach-composed songs from the 1960s, many cover versions were made.
