Christmas In Da House - Max Stannard
The composition was created for the Helston Town Band and features elements of House music, layering small elements of well known Christmas Carols as the textures slowly build up through repeated sections. The finale sections attempts to recreate a side chain effect, whilst the vibraphone at the end tries to simulate a delay effect on the final chord. You will hear parts of Jingle Bells, God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen, Hark the Herald Angels Sing, Joy to the World and Away in a Manger. This composition will definitely liven up your Christmas Concert.

Christmas in St Louis - Max Stannard
This is a reworking of the carol by Lewis Redner, which is the American version of O Little Town of Bethlehem, as opposed to version most used in the United Kingdom, "Forest Green", a tune which was collected by Ralph Vaughan Williams. This solo allows a Bb player to take the lead with the original version being written for a cornet, but it could be played by flugel, euphonium, baritone or trombone. There are several episodes throughout the music which allow the soloist to demonstrate different skills across this very lyrical setting.

£94.95Machine (Brass Band - Score and Parts) - Dobson, Simon
Machine, was commissioned by the Salvation Army Trading Company for the National Youth Brass Band of Great Britain. The work speaks of the perils of the fast fashion industry, the part it plays in our current understanding of late-stage capitalism and it's complicity in the destruction wrought on our one home planet. It also seeks to portray the incredible efforts of the Salvation Army in their quest to slow the fast fashion industry and recycle clothing in the most innovative and progressive ways. The work is through composed and comprises five movements.Movement 1: The great Machine. The band is placed into 8 groups of three (expect tubas, in their normal position as a 4), who stand in specific places on the stage. This will create machine like antiphonal movement in the written music. The great Machine in question is the fast fashion industry, in all its chaos, seeming grandeur and relentless momentum.Movement 2: Mode phmre is fast, angular and quirky, a nod to the perilous speed and waste of the fast fashion industry (the movement title is the French for fast fashion).Movement 3: A planet to treasure (for DA) is a love letter to our home planet and its finite resources and as well as the beauty of the natural world, which unfortunately, we are destroying (hence the dedication to David Attenborough on his 100th year).Movement 4: The wheels keep turning, returns to the fast, angular, almost unstoppable grasp of capitalism and the damaging structures it promotes.Movement 5: Recycle, re-use, mirrors the opening (though without stage directions) in reference to the cyclic nature of fast fashion and the wonderful work that The Salvation Army do in trying to halt this system.

£60.99Cityscape (Brass Band - Score and Parts) - Hadermann, Jan
Cityscape was commissioned for the 't Stad Geblazen event, which took place during the weekend of European Heritage Days in 2024.This short concert piece describes the impressions given when approaching and visiting the beautiful Belgian city of Antwerp from the north across the river Scheldt. We first pass the busy bustle of the harbour, home to the impressive Port House. Then the old city comes into view: the graceful cathedral tower, surrounded by smaller church spires and modern buildings, dominates the distinctive skyline. After setting foot ashore, we are struck by the beautiful way the medieval buildings here blend harmoniously with modern architecture. Our walk through the city continues: we visit the serene cathedral and are impressed by the picturesque facades of and around the city hall, as well as the Brabo Fountain on the Grote Markt (Large Market Square). Finally, it is time to enjoy the merriment taking place on the many squares of the lively city centre.Duration: 5.30
