Composed for the 75th anniversary of the ISB in 1965, this music went on to become one of the best known concert marches in the Salvation Army repertoire.

Judd: Celestial Prospect

Selected as 2nd Section test piece for 2003 'Regionals'Wilfred Heaton originally composed Celestial Prospect in the 1940's but, so the story goes, it was rejected by the SA Editorial 'chiefs' as being too modern. The original manuscript was lost for many years, turning up in the 1980's in New York. Heaton re-worked it for the New York Staff Band, and it is now accepted as a classic of the SA 'Festival' genre. Judd: Chain Reaction

March 2017 ReleaseChain Reaction (Philip Wilby)This larger scale work was written for Dr Stephen Cobb and the International Staff Band. It features and develops the song 'To God be the Glory' which brings an exciting challenge to players and is a fine concert work.

Judd: Christ the Lord

This festival prelude was written for the North York Temple Band to open the 2011 'Glory of Easter' concert. The piece is based on the Welsh tune of Llanfair (T.B. 271), associated with the words 'Christ the Lord is risen today'. The music is meant to be a celebration and awakening of our spirits to rejoice in the awesome wonder that is the Easter story; Christ thre Lord came to die for the worlds sins, but has risen, today!Marcus Venables

Judd: Christ-Hymn

Christ-Hymn is an expression of response to the ancient Christian hymn quoted by Paul in his letter to the Philippian church (Philippians 2:5-11). After an opening which creates a tone of sadness and quiet suffering, the following music is a joyous expression of the truth that 'He is exalted', 'His name is above all names' and 'Every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord'.

Judd: Christ's Part

James Curnow's choral setting of Robert Herrick's verses, 'He who requires still', continues to inspire many vocal groups. This brass arrangement, which has been approved by the composer, will bring a new dimension to such evocative music.

Judd: Christmas Calypso

An arrangement for brass band, in Caribbean style, of 'The virgin Mary had a baby boy'.

Judd: Christmas Joy

A 'classic' Christmas march, played by bands the world over. If your band doesn't play it, you should be asking why not! A cleverly worked 'romp' through the Christmas tunes 'Hark the glad sound', 'Jingle Bells' and 'Wassail song'. Very accessible and great fun to play in a group of any size.

Judd: Christmas Praise

Two carols are featured in the main, 'God rest ye merry, gentlemen' and 'Away in a manger' (using the tune 'Normandy Carol') although references to other carols are included.
