Brandenburg Concerto No. 2 (allegro assai) - J.S Bach - John Abbott
The "Brandenburg Concertos" were composed and dedicated to Christian Ludwig, Margrave of Brandenburg in 1721, however it seems now they were never actually played for him. This 3rd movement has been kilfully arranged as a trio for Soprano Cornet and 2 Bb Cornets (solo cornet, and repiano). This is sure to test the strongest of players, starting with the famous trumpet opening. The Baritones, Euphoniums and Basses also play a very important role in this arrangement. This certainly is a hard piece to perform for the three soloists, but its well worth the challenge.

This exciting new 22-minute concert suite for Brass Sextet has been composed during the months of lockdown charting the feelings of a nation, with seven movements playable by 6 (or more) players. The music was composed with the intention for players to perform either together live in a small group, in isolation by way of a virtual performance (downloadable backing tracks are available to play along to) and ultimately, to give players something to enjoy as we all miss our brass band families. This concert suite is the perfect addition to all bands' libraries at a time when rehearsals are limited. With catchy melodies and harmonies, it is an effective opening to any concert programme and the perfect way to begin the Suite. The most popular movement from Mozart's Clarinet Concerto in A is now available as a beautiful solo for Euphonium (with an optional Tenor Horn soloist part also included). The work was originally composed for Anton Stadler and composed in 1791. This arrangement tests the range of the soloist with some large intervals to contend with during the lyrical melodies, utilising the full range of the instrument. The tender accompaniments also require the band to be sympathetic to the soloist as band show off the controlled nature of their playing.

Deep Harmony - Handel Parker - Alan Beaumont
Composed in 1854 By Handel Parker, this tune has become a favorite within the Brass Band world. Many have said that no other ensemble can perform a hymn tune quite like a Brass Band.
