This lively new Concert March, "Friends of the Band", was written in recognition of those friends and supporters of all Brass Bands whose help financially and in all other ways, are invaluable in the successful running of the organisations. There is a slight hint of the song, "Dear Old Pals, Jolly Old Pals" in the first section which again embeds the feelings all players and conductors have towards our band's supporters. The work was originally composed for the Hook Norton Brass Band, when the composer's wife gave so much of her time encouraging supporters to become friends. This is a great addition to all bands' libraries and a way to pay tribute and thanks.

Brass Monkey's Soloists - Martin Geovess
The main goal of any training band is to eventually see the players progress through the ranks and ultimately, be placed within the senior band. This latest instalment of the Brass Monkeys series, aims to bring that goal much closer and boost the confidence of the learners. The 'Brass Monkey's Soloists' publication features four specially composed works which allows the young soloists to perform a feature piece with accompaniment from the senior band. There is no bigger confidence boost than playing up alongside the 'big band'. £29.50Songs of the North & South - Andi Cook
BrassFesk UK is back for 2022 after a break following the pandemic and with it, comes the traditional new commission and anthem. Recorded by the European Champions, the Cory Band, this year's anthem is an arrangement of well-known UK traditional songs to coincide with the Queen's Jubilee. The work has been written in the style of Gordon Langford, one of the Brass Band world's leading arrangers and so as you expect, there are some fantastic parts to play for all areas of the band to enjoy. This foot-tapping release continues to follow the previous BrassFest UK anthems that have gone before it, ensuring a fun piece of music to both play and listen to. There is little doubt in anyone's mind that Goff Richards' music enriched the Brass Band repertoire with his colourful and imaginative arrangements and compositions. Composer, Gavin Somerset was encouraged when younger by Goff, to write for Brass Bands after they had worked on an arrangement together. Following the passing of Goff back in 2011, this melodic, yet powerful work that reflected upon two of Goff's popular compositions for band, Pastorale & Country Scene, was composed. Seven years on, this work is only now being released and provides an emotional music tribute, which both players and audiences will enjoy over and over again.
