We Three Kings - Rev. John Henry Hopkins Jr - Dean Jones

'We Three Kings of Orient Are' is a Christmas carol (technically an Epiphany carol) written by Rev. John Henry Hopkins, Jr. who wrote both the lyrics and the music as part of a Christmas pageant for the General Theological Seminary in New York City. It was supposedly written as early as 1857 but did not appear in print until his Carols, Hymns and Song was published in 1863. In this arrangement by Dean Jones the use of a dance-like idiom creates a lively atmosphere, which is tinged with a Spanish flavour in the central section!

Hop, Skip and Jump, 2. Little Polka, 3. Spanish Dance (castanets are obligatory) and finally 4. Tango.

The Ketchup Song (Asereje) - Francisco Manuel Ruiz Gomez - Peter Kleine Schaars

Bad Moon Rising - John Fogerty - Len Jenkins

"Bad Moon Rising" is a song written by John Fogerty and performed by Creedence Clearwater Revival. It was the lead single from their album Green River and was released in April 1969, four months before the album. It reached No. 1 on the UK Singles Chart for three weeks in September 1969 and has been recorded by at least 20 different artists, in styles ranging from folk to reggae to psychedelic rock. The last line of the chorus, "there's a bad moon on the rise", is sometimes misheard as "there's a bathroom on the right" and Fogerty occasionally sings the misheard lyric in concert. The song has become notably popular in Argentina as a football chant and in the 2014 FIFA World Cup, a modified version, titled "Brasil, decime que se siente" ("Brazil, Tell Me How It Feels") was sung with Spanish lyrics that taunted Brazil, their traditional rival. It went viral and became very popular (in Argentina).

Fantasie Concertante (Score only) - Philip Wilby

This exciting new concerto is a welcome addition to the repertoire of french and tenor horn players alike. Like the 18th-Century Serenade form there are five movements, arranged symmetrically around a slow movement - Soliloquy - which separates movements entitled Burlesque (two) and Valse Caprice (three) respectively. The first and last movements share common material of a more symphonic stature, and the concerto ends with a brisk fugato. The solo horn is (in the band version) accompanied by a quintet of solo players (two cornets, euphonium, trombone, and tuba) who provide the lion's share of the counterpoint and contrast with the main body of musicians who provide musical punctuation in the more sonorous tutti sections. The first movement, Don Quixote's Dream, contains references to Cervantes' famous hero, the Spanish nature of his stories, and the ambling gait of his horseback adventures.
