A festive, musical cocktail by Tim Paton for brass band, bringing together a folk-feel dance motif and a familiar carol, to create the atmosphere of a village celebration.Opening with a lively Jig, where the music joyfully dances around the band, the piece then settles to offer the tranquility of Gustav Holst's beautiful melody In the Bleak Mid-Winter.This peacefulness is soon overtaken by the reintroduction of the dance motif, finishing off the musical celebration with the dance and the carol mingling together.A very nice addition to Christmas repertoire, presenting a little bit of tradition amidst some lovely, imaginative scoring.Also available for concert band.

An original composition for brass band by Martyn Brabbins.This work was created by Brabbins early in his career and combines his creativity and passion for the sounds of brass bands . It is one of two compositions from that era (the other being There and Back) which have now been given a new lease of life and made available to the general public through The Music Company (UK) Ltd.With great chords, sounds and unexpected bursts of energy, the work lasts just 1 48, making it ideal to be positioned as an attention grabbing opener or a contrasting interlude to greatly enhance the interest of a concert.The brass band version was originally premiered by The Dalmellington Band at The Cumnock Tryst 2017, and the Symphonic Wind Orchestra adaptation was performed by The BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra in 2019.Available here for brass band. Christmas Dream - Andrew Lloyd Webber & Tim Rice - Len Jenkins
The music playing in the background at the start of the 1974 Columbia film 'The Odessa File' Christmas Dream is a song written by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice. This arrangement has a seasonal flavour, with typical Germanic 'bounce', and features an optional finish at about 3 minutes 25 seconds, or the full version at 4 minutes 15 seconds. Extra percussion parts are included (see Score).

Peterborough Mass - Jeremy Cladd - Len Jenkins
Peterborough Mass comprises 5 Movements, Kyrie, Gloria, Sanctus, Benedictus and Agnus Dei. It was composed by Jeremy Cladd who became Head Chorister during his teenage yearsat Peterborough Cathedral. Total immersion in the music within such an inspiring building caused Jeremy to look deeper into the liturgical aspects of the Mass in order to understand the origins of the literary text being sung, so that he could paint a musical landscape based upon his interpretation of the text. From a musical perspective, Jeremy's Kyrie takes its inspiration from Philippians 2 vv1-11 (NIV) "Imitating Christ's Humility", and is structured AB where A refers to humility and submission "lord have mercy" and B relates to "united with Christ", with the latter evoking feelings of salvation and joy. In sympathy with the literary text, the Kyrie has a short introduction, and then a ternary form ABA structure where A is influenced by polyphonic choral writing and B by homophonic choral writing. This is the first of the five Movements to be arranged for Brass Band with Choir and comprises a full brass band score, parts for all instruments and a choral practice score.
