£24.50Keep The Rhythm Going - Neil Brownless
Keep the Rhythm Going was written for Abingdon Concert Band during the 2020 Coronavirus pandemic as a tribute to musicians around the world who found ways to play together virtually in order to 'keep the rhythm going'. This exciting piece will be a great opener for any concert or contest programme and is available for both brass band and wind band. When performing the wind band arrangement the Cor Anglais, Eb Clarinet and Alto Clarinet parts are optional and can be omitted without affecting the music. Andante Cantabile (from the String Quartet No. 1 in D major) - Tchaikovsky - Barry Strickle
The string quartet No.1 in D Maj was the first of three composed by Tchaikovsky. The melancholic Andante cantabile movement of the quartet has become famous, and was founded on a folk-song the composer heard whistled by a house painter. When the quartet was performed at a tribute concert to Leo Tolstoy, the author was said to have been brought to tears by this movement. Now arranged by Barry Strickle for full Brass Band, this is a perfect piece for any occasion or concert.

This famous work Rimsky-Korsakov has been wonderfully arranged by Adrian Horn as a real showcase feature for quartet and brass band. The quartet features your band's Cornet, Tenor Horn, Euphonium & Eb Bass players, all taking a pivotal role in this face paced and virtuosic piece. Originally written for an opera, The Tale of Tsar Saltan; this work whilst incidental in the opera, has become one of the most famous classical pieces of all time. £24.50The Grand Old Dukes - Traditional - Bill Willis
This new take on the much loved children's Nursery Rhyme is a great way to showcase your band's cornet players with a playful, yet in parts, challenging cornet trio. Nobody knows for certain to whom the song refers, however several candidates include Prince Frederick (Duke of York and Albany), Richard (Duke of York) and James II (formerly the Duke of York). Suitable for either the bandstand or concert hall, this is a great entertainment item that spans the generations whilst giving the soloists a chance to shine.

Every year, bands look for something new for their Christmas programs, well, look no further! This classic carol has been arranged and playable by most standards of bands. Starting with a carillon effect from the cornet section which continues as the melody flows underneath before the whole band join, after which, the piece explodes into a fast lively rock style before returning to a grand finale in the original style. Commissioned for BrassFestUK 2017 & recorded by the Cory Band, the Spirit of Brass is an exciting, new energetic work that will fit perfectly into any concert, particularly as an opening item. With memorable themes, the composition takes its roots from that of John Williams' various Olympic themes that he has composed over the years. As well as this 'main version', there is also a youth/training band version of the work available which is more accessible to younger bands. The two versions work as standalone items, or can be performed side-by-side. A great new original piece for Brass Band.

Danse Lithuanienne - Rimsky-Korsakov - Lee Rogers
Mlada was the vision of Stepan Gedeonov in 1870 originally to be performed as a ballet, however it was not until two years later in 1872 that four of the most famous Russian composers were brought on board to score the music for the production (CA(c)sar Cui, Modest Mussorgsky, Nikolay Rimsky-Korsakov and Aleksandr Borodin being the composers in question). Much of the score was created, however the ballet never saw a production and no workable edition is currently in use. Lee Rogers has taken the light hearted 'Danse Lithuanienne' from Rimsky-Korsakov's part of the score and arranged it for brass band. The work requires dexterity from the band and is the perfect showpiece to add to any programme.

BrassFesk UK is back for 2022 after a break following the pandemic and with it, comes the traditional new commission and anthem. Recorded by the European Champions, the Cory Band, this year's anthem is an arrangement of well-known UK traditional songs to coincide with the Queen's Jubilee. The work has been written in the style of Gordon Langford, one of the Brass Band world's leading arrangers and so as you expect, there are some fantastic parts to play for all areas of the band to enjoy. This foot-tapping release continues to follow the previous BrassFest UK anthems that have gone before it, ensuring a fun piece of music to both play and listen to.
