"Fort Drake" was composed specially for the British Bandsman March Composition Contest. The title is a respectful parody of a well-known march cited as a model in the contest regulations. Originally just a working title, it was later accepted for its suggestion of unyielding strength and durability. Written to appeal to bands and audiences alike, the piece has striking melodies, a smooth trio section and exciting phrases featured in all instruments. Good Night Suite is written for beginning band and suitable for the youngest musicians. The level of difficulty is at lowest grade and the rhythms are equal in all wind parts. The register on each instrument is also customized to each part. Some easy solos appears in some sections and in Mvt. 4 there are different rhythm in the melody and bass parts. The level of difficulty is the same for all five movements. The movements may of course be played as single pieces. When all movements are mastered it's possible to play the suite as a kind of fairytale with simple dramaturgy or choreography. Maybe the whole band can be dressed in their pajamas?

This original solo for Eb Tenor Horn and brass band, composed by Andrew Duncan, has proved to be a welcome addition the solo repertoire.Written to demonstrate both the technical and lyrical sides of the Horn, the piece begins with a fast, bright (slightly Latin) section. This gives way to an expressive legato tune which, first played by the Soloist, is then taken up by the whole band. The central section, Andante, allows the soloist to really sing out and, following a short cadenza, the opening material returns to lead into an exciting Coda section.Also available for Eb Tenor Horn with piano accompaniment and F Horn with piano accompaniment.Difficulty Guide:Suitable for intermediate to advanced Tenor Horn players. All Your Anxiety is a reflective and expressive work for brass band inspired by Edward Joy's sacred song of the same name. Drawing deeply from the hymn's text and message, the piece explores the tension between human unease and the promise of peace found in faith. The work opens with a distinctive eighth-note figure in the euphonium that immediately establishes an unsettled character. Wide intervallic leaps and atypical slur groupings evoke a sense of fragility and uncertainty, musically portraying the weight of sorrow and care described in the opening verse of the hymn. This motivic material becomes the foundation of the entire arrangement, reappearing in varied forms as counter-melody, accompaniment, and featured solo lines across the ensemble. As the piece unfolds, the music gradually broadens and warms, reflecting the invitation of the text to "come to the cross" and leave one's burdens behind. Moments of lyricism and calm contrast with the earlier unease, leading toward a more settled and hopeful conclusion that mirrors the refrain's assurance: "Never a burden He cannot bear, never a friend like Jesus."
