London Eye is an incredibly large rotating wheel situated on the South Bank of the River Thames. This movement depicts a 'flight' on this riverside wheel, at the top of which the panoramic view of London is breath-taking and the expanse of the music is a suitable depiction of that view. This piece is the second movement of Nigel Hess's New London Pictures which represents elements of London in the 21st Century. Suitable for Premier Youth/2nd Section Bands and above. Duration: 4.00

Seascapes ('His dominion shall be from sea to sea' Zechariah 9 v.10). 3. Seafarer's song ('Sing unto the Lord...ye that go down to the sea' Isaiah 42 v.10). The first two movements are based on the composer's own settings of poems by Miriam Richards. Commissioned by YBS Band, this is a kaleidoscopic six movement sequel to Cry of the Celts. The work provides solo opportunities for several principal players. Peter Graham takes us first to Latin America, then to Japan and onwards to Saharan Africa. We get a gentle reprieve via a nostalgic hint of the British Isles before we land in the melting pot of all styles, the USA. In this final section the driving swing section is abruptly stopped and a drum cadenza leads us back into the opening Latin music. The movements are: Amazonia; Rainforest; The Rising Sun; Drums of Thunder; Celtic Dream; Earth Walk. Any of the movements can be programmed individually. Some movements are recorded on QPRL215D Master Brass (Volume Thirteen). All movements are recorded on QPRL123D Windows of the World. Total Duration: 20:30.

£71.57Letters from Flanders (Brass Band) Andrew Batterham
This descriptive work by Australian composer Andrew Batterham portrays the experiences of his maternal grandfather, Corporal Reginald Littlejohns, (4th Australian Machine Gun Battalion) in the First World War. Reginald left Melbourne for Europe in May 1916 then served in Flanders through to the end of the war. He returned in April 1919, having sent hundreds of letters home during his service. His honest, articulate, and highly descriptive prose served as inspiration for this piece. Each of the 5 movements portrays a different aspect of Reginald's war, with a quote from his letters included. The first movement was premiered by the Box Hill City Band, conducted by Matt van Emmerik, in Melbourne. Daniel van Bergen conducted Booroondara Brass performing most of the work in April 2019, and Box Hill premiered the complete version in November 2019 conducted by Simon Brown. The work is comprised of the following movements: i. The World at War ii. Over the Sea iii. Passchendaele iv. Homecoming Parade v. Elegy Length: c.12.00 minutes PDF download includes score and parts.
