Philip Sparke wrote Heritage as a grand concert march in the tradition of Elgar and Walton. After a brief introduction, the march's long main theme is presented: first in subdued tones, then taken up by the full band, adding a tenor counter melody. The following bridge passage leads to a change of key and the traditional trio section. A repeat of previous motifs leads to a return of the main theme, followed by a short closing coda.

Hans Offerdal wrote this march for Furuset skoles musikkorps and Haugen skolekorps for the 17th of May 2007 and here it is now finally in a version for Brass! It has a simple texture that you will have sounding good with not too muchpractice. During rehearsal one should stress the melodic aspect of each part, and that all parts are just as important. Because of its title and duration of appx. two minutes, this march is perfect for presenting the band at various arrangements youtake part in.

Citadel's Destiny is a march that can be performed either in concert or on parade. It was commissioned by the Musique de l'Infanterie de Lille. A special feature is that it adheres to the conventional codes of military marches, albeit with a modern twist. The title refers to the citadel built by Vauban in Lille, "The Queen of Citadels", with which the band shares a destiny. This march is still performed by the Infantry Band as part of their traditional concert repertoire.

This march was written in 1919 by Norways own March King Oscar Borg (1851-1930).He was born in the town of Halden in the southeast of Norway and received his education at the Royal Academy in Stockholm, Sweden.Upon his return to Halden he became a driving force in the towns musical life in several respects. He conducted choirs, amateur bands and played the organ in church.Borg was also the conductor of 1. Brigades Musikkorps (today The Norwegian Wind Ensemble) from 1881 to 1918.His significance for the Norwegian military bands and their repertoire is unquestionable.He wrote over 60 marches and he played several instruments; the violin, flute, cornet and the organ.This arrangement was written for Askoy Brass Band in 2021.Svein H. The march is in traditional English 'contest march' style.

Kelly wrote this march for the 1948 Kneller Hall March Contest. With the 4/7th Dragoon Guards Kelly took part into the landing in Normandy on D Day, june the 6th 1944; actually he was injured himself at the end of july. 'ARROMANCHES' is a suiting tribute to the heroes of the Allied landings at Arromanches.
