The Outlaws is a musical piece in three parts who describes three criminal characters.The first part describes a thief in a cartoon who is chased by the police. The second part describes a gangster with a hat and pinstriped suite sitting with his gang planning their next robbery.The last part describes a bandit in the wild west riding across the prairie. He is riding towards a small town to rob the local bank.

Firefly was composed by award-winning composer Simon Dobson (b.1981) to provide an entertaining up-tempoconcert work for community and youth bands. Composed in funk-rock style, and is based on the groove beat with which it opens. Dobson says, "Firefly was written as a break from my more serious music and as a 'hat tip' to the various types of beat orientated music I listen to." It was first performed by Oslofjord Brass in Norway and in its wind version by Harmonie Shostakovich, Switzerland. Duration: 5-6 minutes. INSTRUMENTATION:1 EflatSop. Fracanapa was written and recorded by Piazzolla in the 60s and based on one of the characters from the Italian street carnival. Traditionally these characters were marionettes, dressed in a tailcoat with a red waistcoat and a wide hat. He was quite fat and had an enormous nose but was good-hearted, witty and sociable. He enjoyed good food and loved Amarone wine. His main aim in life was to make people smile.

The Tricorn - Len Jenkins - Len Jenkins
The Tricorn is a style of three-cornered hat from Europe in the 18th century, generally referred to as a 'cocked hat' in Britain and popular in America at the time of the War of Independence. It may still be seen on ceremonial occasions as part of the town-cryer's dress in England and features in a popular German song for children 'Mein Hut, der hat drei Ecken'. However, in the case of this music, the reference is to the cornet section and the requirement for triple-tonguing on the Eb Soprano cornet. Whilst ostensibly a concert march in style, its jaunty rhythm makes you want to stride along and it may therefore be used as a 'road march' as well. Pressure on the Soprano cornetist as a soloist is reduced by adding the Solo Cornets to the melody line in the 'road march' version. With this in mind, we supply the music in both A4 (concert) and A5 (march-card) sizes as a package.
