£24.50Keep The Rhythm Going - Neil Brownless
Keep the Rhythm Going was written for Abingdon Concert Band during the 2020 Coronavirus pandemic as a tribute to musicians around the world who found ways to play together virtually in order to 'keep the rhythm going'. This exciting piece will be a great opener for any concert or contest programme and is available for both brass band and wind band. When performing the wind band arrangement the Cor Anglais, Eb Clarinet and Alto Clarinet parts are optional and can be omitted without affecting the music. The second part describes a gangster with a hat and pinstriped suite sitting with his gang planning their next robbery.The last part describes a bandit in the wild west riding across the prairie. He is riding towards a small town to rob the local bank.

'The Keystone Kops' was a series of silent comedies featuring an incompetent group of policemen. They first appeared in the 1912 film Hoffmeyer's Legacy but it was the 1913 feature The Bangville Police that confirmedtheir popularity. 'The Keystone Kops' were renowned for making mistakes, particularly with a great deal of energy and activity, and all done with a major lack of coordination. Carl Davis's 3 minute tour de force is a fine encorepiece!
