The lyrics were written by Rhea F. The adaptation was made byGarrett Horderin his 1884Congregational Hymns.In many countries the hymn is most usually sung to thetune"Repton" byHubert Parry; however, in the United States, the prevalent tune is "Rest" byFrederick Charles Maker.The text set appears below.
